Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off on your way!

In January 2018, I wrote that every day is a new beginning. So, Congratulations! Today really IS your day!

I am taking these words of Dr. Seuss to heart, because I am embarking on a large art commission! I have been asked to make a mixed-media collage art piece for wonderful and innovative school in the Houston area for autistic children. During a tour of Including Kids in mid-January, I was blown away by what a light, bright, cheerful and functional space it was. This fun, kid-centered place seems a perfect fit for my colorful, whimsical and high-vibrational art!

And when things start to happen,
Don’t worry. Don’t stew.
Just go right along.
You’ll start happening too.

Is this the biggest collage project I’ve ever done? YES!

Am I a little nervous? HECK YES!!

This challenge is exciting too. It’s about moving from a comfort zone to the “You’ll start happening too” zone! It’s always scary between comfort and happening, but that’s also where the magic and growth are found.

My guide book for this art piece journey, Oh the Places You’ll Go! by Dr. Seuss, was recommended to me by the school. Their motto for their exceptional youngsters is found on the last page:

And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!
